Evaluating Candidates

How should you choose whom to vote for? There are many resources to help you decide. Your Democratic Committeeperson should be informed about the candidates and willing to talk to you about them. If you don't know who your Democratic Committeeperson is, click here to find out.

Party Organization in Philadelphia

The smallest Democratic Party organization representing you is your Ward Democratic Executive Committee. There should be two Democrats from your Division (a.k.a, your voting precinct) representing you on the Committee. They should provide you with information about how and where to vote, as well as the relative merits of the Democratic candidates in any particular election.

The Committee of Seventy, a non-profit organization, has all sorts of useful, nonpartisan information about elections, including registration instructions, maps, and more.

The Pennsylvania Department of State has official information about all Pennsylvania elections, training videos for poll workers, and more. They also have a website designed specifically for voters where you can get registration forms, absentee ballot request forms, and more.
